Oh my Lord! To suffer like you do
It would be a lie to run away
This means more to me than just my pain doesn't compare to what Jesus went thru. To me it also means that if I were to run away/hide away from my pain it makes what Jesus went thru a lie or not good enough in other terms. What He endured was much more than we ever did, and He didn't run away; He did that for us.
This song gives me hope, it encourages me. It doesn't make me feel belittled when I understand it with the interpretation I give as if my pain means nothing. Rather, it encourages me to reach out to God to help me endure that pain.
The rest of the song is so true. We go thru so much, and we can't control a lot of it. We don't understand why God allows pain to occur; we know He's in control and He could change whatever it might be..He could change the bad for good. It encourages me to trust Him that He's good. That all He does is for good...it makes His suffering worth it.
