It's a beautiful song, very cryptic.
I'm never too thrilled with god being mentioned in a song (like in earnest as it seems here...), but hey, I can accept it here because it is such a haunting melody, and it is clearly a love song, it sure isn't a happy love song, he's waiting for her, she seems to have been away a long time, and there seem to be doubting demon voices (creeps)
All I need is the chorus, sung like that, with that music - beautiful! There are (at least) two versions of the song, I like the one with the second voice much more haunting, while the other rocks!!!
Creeps makes me think of Radiohead every time...lol
I am a big promotor of there being as many meanings to a song as there are people, art being as much for the benefit of the audience as it is for the creator, who sometimes cannot even help creating, and sometimes even doesn't know why...
So just go with the images and let them tell you what they mean to you...:-)
