Actually, MyDogSkip, if you knew ANYTHING...the '84 Fiero (the one we ALL know) is the RE-RELEASE of the Fiero. They had a 1978 Fiero Prototype, then in 1982 Pontiac put the Fiero out for sale (which had a bucket seat in it, hence "with a car seat in the middle."), then QUICKLY pulled it off the market due to bad ECM placement, which would cause the car to break down after a very short distance down the highway.
So before you run your fingers to the bone talking about stuff you don't know...brush up on your car history. ;)
