This is most definitely my favorite song by Tenth Avenue North and what has to be one of the best love songs I've ever heard. I was at Soulfest 2011 when Mike Donehey played this song acoustically on the mountain top. It's been a while since then, and I can't remember the story perfectly, but as far as I remember, he was on a retreat one winter when he decided he wanted to talk to his future wife. She agreed, and, as the song says, he walked over a mile through the snow to go see her [BTW: guys should be taking notes on all this haha]. He reached their meeting place and they talked for a few hours when she told him that she had something she wanted to tell him, but she was scared he was going to view her differently if she did tell him. So he spent a while just holding her, letting her know that he would love her all the same, no matter what it was. So, after a whlie longer, tears falling from her face, she finally told Mike what was weighing down her heart. When he was telling this story at SoulFest, Mike said his reaction was, "That's it?". He wouldn't tell us what it was she told him, but he said that it just made him love her even more. It was an amazing story, and I was very surprised that the Tenth Avenue North website didn't have it posted. I hope this helps :)
