This is my song from 7th grade...dedicated to me by my 2-yr boyfriend who dumped me for a relationship with Carol, the prettiest girl in the school. (It lasted just a few weeks:). We've reconnected through Facebook and now can laugh at it, although he claims to not even recall her name (bright man:). It's funny how music can remain with us...take us back to a time of long ago when life was so much less complicated. I still see him as a boy, even though his photos show that he's aged (although he looks very young for his age...lucky him). This song was about love lost, but respect remaining. We were quite the pair...hanging out after school each day as we walked around town; going to the weekly dances and the twice weekly sporting events; walking and eating together during school. Ahhhhh....this song is indeed special. And I am so thankful he gave me this gift when he said goodbye all those decades ago. Music (all music) is a blessing...
