I have liked Eyedea for many years, but this year I've found myself being able to relate more and more to his songs. We think a lot of the same things and in the same ways and it's comforting knowing that there's(was) someone out there who was a lot like myself.
I can relate to this song in all kinds of ways. I've been working so hard this year, just to make money, to survive all because it's been programmed in my head that it's what I'm supposed to do. Sometimes I feel like quitting my job and running away and becoming someone I want to be. Someone I'm not ashamed of. To live my life in the moment rather than by doing the same boring job day in and day out, without feeling like I'm gaining anything useful from it.
Anyway, I love Eyedea. He is my favourite person ever and although I never knew him, I miss him a lot.
