Yeah, I think the song is about a drug runner. Love the imagery in the song- playing pool with a woman with vericose veins, losing blood at the dentist, the mad scientist in the lab making drugs. Great sleazy, grungy song. Like the Chrome Dreams version better than later versions of the song.
