Touch the Sun Lyrics

Great song. It reminds me of Icarus, from Greek mythology. Icarus' father was Daedalus, a master craftsman known for creating the Labyrinth that King Minos kept the Minotaur in. In one version of their story, Daedalus and Icarus were locked into a tower, and Daedalus fastened together the feathers of birds with wax to create wings so that they might escape by flight. Before they flew, Daedalus warned his son not to fly too high, as the sun would melt the wax, nor too low, as the sea foam would drench the feathers. Icarus, unfortunately, did not heed this advice and flew too close to the sun, thus softening the wax on the feathers and causing his wings to fall apart. Icarus fell into the sea and drowned.
