Also, I think it might be "wash this world FOR me", although I do end up saying "from" when singing with it.
I personally see it as an awakened connection with spirt/god, divine light, whatever you want to call it. There are a lot of ancient (and modern) spiritual quotes and mantras that convey the same message. Who will know for sure, but considering how spiritual and themed the rest of the album is, i can't see it as a love song kind of thing, in that way. but up to each i guess. This is my favorite VNV Nation song now, by the way. No doubt.
