I feel that it's about being younger... with some references to drug use maybe - "pupils dilate", "way out in space" and also with the action of "roll" ... as in to roll a joint maybe.... A comment on British culture, we really are a fags and booze generation here, but I don't think Kasabian are commenting about it in a negative way... more in a reminiscent way. It seems Tom or Serge feel like they could do with a night similar to their earlier days maybe... "lets roll just like we used to " I realllly like this album.

Rolling is slang for using ecstasy, and ecstasy is a drug that makes the pupils dilate. The impression I get regarding this song is that they are reflecting on youth, on days when they partied together. Jumping over cemetery gates is about ignoring eventual mortality. I think having a rise and fall relates both to ecstasy use (coming up and the often depressing coming down) and also to life. We are in our prime in youth, and then as we age we fall.
