We don't gain anything by carrying burdens around only to say at the end "I've been carrying this hurt all my life and I demand compensation for it", so it's better to give it to God. His grace is sufficient for all our mistakes and makes us new again. He has more to give us than we could ever give to him (memories and tears). We're never too busy to spend time with God. We either make time, or He will for us, even if that means destroying our sense of security in something that isn't him. But he always does so in the perfect way to reach us. For some of us it's like a bandaid, for others it's gentle.
