Just luv this band. I hate being the first to comment because I'm not good at deciphering lyrics, but this is what I hear (the operative word is "I"): His conscience tells him he shouldn't be doing something. That something is the young girls with their glitter and gold. He is willing to go against what he knows is right for another hit (ie. girl). He silences his conscience. He wishes the one he loves and will soon cheat on is there, but she's not so any other girl will do. He views himself as a hunter; the girls are his prey. He wants to change (ie. "out of control...trying to find my way back"). The voices tell him to stop, but he walks into the darkness yet again.
