Lyrically just an incredible piece. Did I say incredible?!! It's a sad one, though. It's about somoene (male or female) who doens't like himself and feels that although his love(r) can forgive him for his wrongs, every time she looks at him she will be reminded of them and she will thus never forget them (perhaps causing a grudge that will tarnish the relationship). He has little faith in himself (ie. "Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not"); he believes his presence in her life will cause her problems that she doesn't deserve. He appears to be telling her to move on without him, yet it's not what he really wants. She seems unsure if she wants the relationship to continue (ie "So call it quits or get a grip. You say you wanted a solution, you just wanted to be missed), although that may just be his fear speaking. The title speaks to him sabotaging the relationship with his self-doubt and self-hatred. Terribly sad (but wicked good) tune. Powerful.

And by the hand of fat,e we meet again....it is our destiny! :D

"So call it quits or get a grip. You say you wanted a solution, you just wanted to be missed)"

Maybe he's unsure and she keeps on grasping on to the relationship and keeping it going, hoping that at some point she'll finally be missed--showing that he cares.

I'm in a pretty similar situation as the guy, and it seems a lot like she's the one who's stopping things from ending.

I think this sums it up the best way. It's an incredible piece, seriously powerful. I think what I like how much about is how it runs the gambit from opening with sadness and self-loathing, self-deprecating sentiments, and gradually turns from that into anger and and impatience as it becomes apparent that the other party seems to be unwilling or unable -- or both -- to move on, whether that's with or without the author. And it finally settles into understanding-- understanding that the other person only indecisive because of the pain caused by the author, and conflicted feelings present....
