Vagina Mine

This song is the centerpiece of the album imo. To understand Vagina Mine, you really need to look at the overall concept of Puscifer and what it means at a basic level. 'Puscifer' is a way to describe how people today are too focused on their physical desires (i.e. the 'pussy' part of it), which leaves them vulnerable to manipulation by dark forces (i.e. the 'Lucifer' part of it). This is a common theme throughout the album.

Keeping this in mind, Vagina Mine can be seen as a double entendre. On the one hand, the song is obviously talking about a woman who understands her sexual power and uses it to her advantage by forcing the man to serve her before he is served. This is reinforced by the Puscifer character with her police uniform and strong physical stature. Going even further though, Puscifer can really represent anyone (male or female) who uses their position of power for their own personal gain.

So the more you let your physical world & desires rule you, the further you go down the mine, leaving yourself blinded and vulnerable to dark forces such as the dominator types who want to manipulate humanity through culture, religion, science, etc. It's a message from the dominator types threatening the people who are trying to gain more knowledge and freedom for themselves. The dominators are saying "you're not going any higher until you learn the rules and pay your dues...so just be patient, and keep the pawns below you busy for now until we tell you what to do." For example:

head down to the tunnel diggin' on Ms. Puscifer tongue roll call cadence, hear the school bell ring this vagina mine teach a patient diligence keep a chain gang swinging, make a cat bird sing.

This verse is describing the process people go through when attempting to liberate themselves materialistically. That's what Puscifer represents in one sense...it represents the evils of the material world that, although previously-despised by those who wish to liberate themselves from materialistic bullshit, suddenly appear very desirable after taking on different forms. In other words, even when people try to escape from materialism with pure intentions, we can easily be tricked by Puscifer and fall back into it (since Puscifer can take on so many different forms and appeal to so many different sides of our psyche). Basically, the mind traps itself, thereby trapping human consciousness in general.

With respect to this verse, it can be read in many different ways. But the obvious interpretation would go something like this:

"head down to the tunnel diggin' on Ms. Puscifer" facing a vagina at close range, ready to eat away

"tongue roll call cadence, hear the school bell ring" flicking your tongue against the clit in a rythmic fashion

"this vagina mine teach a patient diligence" putting the needs of the vagina above your own

"keep a chain gang swinging, make a cat bird sing." making the vagina cum

But it can also be read like this...

"head down to the tunnel diggin' on Ms. Puscifer" becoming obsessed with a material desire in the hopes of liberating your spirit (bad idea!)

"tongue roll call cadence, hear the school bell ring" Being stopped and told to shut up and do what someone else tells you to

That "someone" could take on so many forms depending on the specific person and the material desired. One example I can think of would be a small businessman trying to make more profits, so he finds an avenue that he hadn't explored before.. and it works, but he runs into someone (a bigger businessman) who has already traveled down that road and has a sort-of private claim to this particular profit scheme. This person allows the businessman to make his additional profits, but he charges a fee and/or restricts certain actions in regards to the scheme.

"this vagina mine teach a patient diligence" putting the needs/desires of someone else above your own

To follow the previous example, this would involve the smaller businessman being swindled and strung along by the bigger one (i.e. the one who appears to be more illuminated and awake to the various forms of material control). The smaller businessman is being told that he can have his additional profits (i.e he can have his 'liberation') if he's patient and does what the bigger one says.

"keep a chain gang swinging, make a cat bird sing." swindling and/or stringing others along while being swindled and/or strung along yourself

Again, this would be the smaller businessman swindling those below him as a form of service to the bigger businessman (i.e. the 'grand master' so-to-speak).

Anyways, I hope this makes some sort of sense. It's hard to form one clear-cut interpretation of the song, and that's why I love Puscifer.
