i think this song is about depression e.g. ''all these highs are downwards all your fumble words are spent'' and ''sink in deeper further each hour'' like sinking into depression. im probably wrong but thats my interpretation anyway
i don't believe there is a wrong interpretation, sure there will be ones with no sense, but yours is really good I didn't think of it that way :)
