I see that the Chili Peppers and Keidis has his own meaning but the beautiful thing about music is that songs can have their own meaning to listeners. To me this is what Police Station is about:
Its told from the first person view of noticing a former lover and girlfriend at various locations over his life. In this relationship, the narrator is madly in love with a woman who has a troubled past and involved with drugs and promiscuity over her lifetime, which has landed her at the police station and on the corner. Although these factors ruined the relationship, the narrator still has love and a longing to fix these aspects in her life. Hes had her but wants her again and this time, in the ways that he has tried to fix with her. After many years and when she finally does fix these crutches in her life, he sees her getting married in a church yard and its too late to be with her. Yet, he still loves and wants to be with her but there is comfort in knowing that she has improved her life
