Keeping perspective is better than "believing your own P.R."
Everyone (or at least a part of us all -- the immature child within) wants a life where their behavior has no consequences. Saying that sounds silly but we behave like it all too often.
What goes around comes around.
"If you enjoy riding the sled down the snow-covered hill, then you must also enjoy pulling the sled back to the top!"
Then there is the elite. Those (of "both" political leanings) in our capitol cities who govern but are exempt from the laws they enact. Their behaviour is intended to maintain the status quo, continue their corruption and deception, become rich and never answer for their waste fraud and abuse.
Last but not least, there is the distinct possibility that lack of accountability may continue for a time, but then (in the afterlife) we have to answer for our life choices.
