I have loved this song for a while now and my favorite line is, of course: "Even the things that seem still are still changing," because the words together are so beautiful, intelligent and true (as is the entire song).
For some reason, the first verse always really gets me: "I must give the impression /
That I have the answers for everything /You were so disappointed / To see me unravel so easily"
This verse makes me think so much about myself and others and how we often, can't see or won't see, beyond the impression that is given to us by people in our lives. It's almost like we forget that their human and affected by a host of things in life mostly having to do with the reality of change. And then when we're on the other side of the equation we can't believe that anyone we know could possibly think we're so unaffected and expect so much from us.
