Bird bath is also slang for a quick washing of the genitals before sex. "You say you'll provide the birdbath if I provide the skin" could mean that someone is offering to go down on her and make her "tremble like a kitten 'bathing' in the moonlight".

The part about Hitler's little blue eyed babes I think is about (homo?)sexuality. "They got angelic tendencies, like some boys tend to act like queens" - Nazis were very much against homosexuality so that would definitely be bad. Terrible angels = )

"Oh every angel's terrible Said freud and rilke all the same" (They really did write that, so that's where Bianca got the phrase, I guess) "Rimbaud never paid them no mind" (Hinting the homosexuality theme again)

"But Jimmi Morrison had his elevators His elevators He had his elevator angels" (Did this poet not get head in an elevator in the movie? By some girls = elevator angels?)

"If every angel's terrible then why do you watch her sleep? You love to hear her sing and wear purple eyes like rings Well the flowers have no scent and the child's been miscarried" I think this part is about physical abuse and the paradox of it; how can someone love somebody and at the same time hurt them? 'Purple eyes' being bruises: Abused women tend to blame themselves and therefore get stuck in the abusive relationship/marriage => wearing purple eyes as rings => things aren't always as happy as they seem; flowers have no scent and the child's been miscarried.

Last verse I totally agree with Human004 on the metaphor part: (quoting Human004) "It's a very poetic metaphor of how a lover finds comfort at the end of the day in a woman. Like a child he is frightened and disoriented by the world (supermarket) and takes solace in a woman who makes him feel safe ("Boy don't she feel warm tonight")" ^^^ however PLUS the fact that he (or she) still both loves and abuses his (or her) ANGEL. Terrible angel?
