"So that people who are hearing are confused" should be "So that people who are hearing AREN'T confused"
This song is about Anthony's journey as an artist and where he currently is (a motif that appears throughout the EP). He is looking at what he wants to be doing with his songs. The first four lines are basically saying he is willing to rework every line when he is writing a song to make sure his message is conveyed.
He then describes that his purpose is to convey these messages so other can learn and he should "leave a trail" of the journeys he has gone through so others don't have to go through the same thing. The next part is about his struggles doing it and how he has come to a "revelation".
