I am so stoked about a new album by the Killers!
I have a feeling this song is about revelation, and armageddon,
"you can't escape the rising of the tide"<-- The end is going to come
"You'll be running but there ain't nowhere to hide" <-- you can't hide from God
"Well you took the stand, you licked your lips, and you lied" <-- you sinned
"Well they plan your crucifixion as we speak" <-- you're going to go to hell
"There's gonna be a mystery underneath those neon lights" <-- God is going to judge you (in an interviewy sorta way)
"With everybody singing out
Glory Hallelujah" <-- You're praising God to save yourself

I meant the album "Battle Born" haha, not rising tide,
does anyone else think that they're gonna go on tour coz this is their 4th studio album (sawdust isn't a studio album) and when they release a studio album they go on tour, right? they has a hot fuss tour, sams town tour and a day and age tour, so maybe they will have a Battle Born tour? also does anyone know why the album is called battle born? whats behind it?

I definitely think you're right about the meaning, as for your questions... I'd say that they will definitely go on tour, though it might not be as extensive due to some of the band members seemingly not enjoying the touring as much.

Also, Battle Born is the name of the Killers' recording studio, the name coming from the fact that Nevada is known as the Battle Born state, having been born out of the American Civil War. The name could maybe also be a subtle reference to all of the criticisms that the band has gotten, and how this album...
