CliffLandin, I'd never bothered to check for more "sensible" lyrics to this song since it didn't seem like the lyrics would make any sense even if I had the right words, but those lyrics make PERFECT sense. The song almost loses a bit of its intensity when you realize it's really just a simple song about racing. A classic truck, a big-ass engine, the starting/finishing line, the starter pistol... everything fits.
