I can totally relate to that "poor selfish automobiles" line. Before owning a car I had to take the bus everywhere, and it was always frustrating when I'd miss a bus and have to wait longer, and I would just wish I could hitch a ride up the street in one of the cars... it's not like it would be out of their way or anything.
