She's so tired of love that's failed, love that she put herself out there so many times, but has been so disappointed by its fairytale promises that she just gives up.
"but Sleeping Beauty just kept score/and tried to sleep more" - it's like she wants to live a fairytale, but she's so exhausted by her past that all she wants to do is sleep, she doesn't even want to really try at love and relationships anymore.
The singer seems to be like the "prince charming" coming to save her, but he's in shock with her harshness. She seems to see him as "just another guy" coming to try and save her again.
