I agree that there is an Icarus analogy in the first verse, but I don't think this song is about Icarus.
I think this song is about being in a situation so wonderful you feel that a) you don't deserve it, and b) it will all be over to soon.
In other words it's about trying to grasp onto those best feelings we have ever had, to enjoy the present that is right now, but at the same time feeling like it won't last.
