Well, i love this song too, it's beautiful and i really think the song is about a guy who was in a relationship but they broke up (she broke up with him) and he had the worst time forgetting her, letting her go, and then after months or maybe years she's back and she tells him that she loves him but he remembers how hard was it to forget her and he thinks "i won't let her hurt me again like the last time" so he's telling her "so if you love me let me go, or run away before i know" because he knows he will fall for her again but he does not want that, he's suffered enough
