For me this song isn't only about getting depressed over you past and feeling pain/anger/guilt. In the song the lines
"Sometimes I think of letting go
And never looking back
And never moving forward so
There would never be a past"
Show that the person is willing to commit suicide in order to never experience the same kind of pain they once did that by this day haunts them down.
@Capricornkid ya.. I agree... it is such a powerful line... and it makes perfect sense... "letting go" = suicide and ".... never moving forward" pretty much states no longer living to create any more possibility of the past that consumes them..
