For a couple of years before getting into the music business Paul Brandt worked as an RN at the Alberta Children's hospital. There he cared for a little girl named Aimeelee. She passed away as he was returning from a songwriting trip from Nashville. She inspired this song, he hoped to help people realize that they should never take things/people for granted. Make sure people know how much you care about them so that you don't have to say "I meant to do that."
