Dying is not that bad, as you can see.

I had a dream a long time ago, but I can remember it almost perfectly. It was somewhat like a documentary about war and terrorism. It would have been a normal dream, but at a certain point of the dream the voice-over said "Life is Misery, Life is evilness". "Life" and "Misery" are two very strong words, and we may think that the ideas they represent are not naturally linked, but Gorguts made a great point here.

When we think of misery we may tend to think about hunger, war and poverty, but that's just "carnal" misery, derived from our needs. The true misery is life itself. If you believe in a metaphysical world, as Luc Lemay does, that would make perfect sense, and that's what we can see in this song.

"Entrenched in the logical, Carnal state The epitome of a comfortless epoch, Transcend Dreamless in this mind of flesh, Mind of flesh The fragments of a worthless epoch, Collapse"

This fragment pretty much summarizes what I mean. Gorguts refers to life as "a worthless epoch", and death as "The lucid pure calmness of ecstasy".
