Am I the only one who noticed that they changed some words and made it sound kind of like a song about a zombie song or one about killing someone?
They don't say:
"And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say
I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of our hearts
is the only sound
Look at the way
We gotta hide what we're doing"
They say:
"And then I put my arms around you
And you tumble to the ground
And then I say
I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of your heart
is the only sound
Look at the way
I gotta hide what I'm doing"
The subtle changes in lyrics can change the meaning quite a bit, if you think about it.
Only the other person tumbles to the ground, apparently the singer remains standing. Also, only the other person's heart is beating, because the singer states very clearly that the other person's heartbeat is the only sound, and if the singer's heart isn't also making a sound, then it isn't beating. Only the singer is doing something worth hiding, it isn't mutual. I'm surprised no one noticed the changes...
@DementedVampiricZombie I didn\'t know this song was a cover at first, but I got the creepy meaning of it. Now I\'m seeing what they did with the original.

@DementedVampiricZombie of course someone with your name would think of this. But damn it's smart! I can see this 100%
