this song is BEAUTIFUL. i think shayley is talking about his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend and how absence is making the heart grow fonder. She's crying because he's leaving, "Pretty little lady with the swollen eyes would you show them to me." but he's telling her to stay with him because he has so much to offer her, "I know I'm not that perfect but just stay awhile maybe then you'll see." i absolutely love the line, "Miles away I can still feel you lay your head down on my embrace." even though he's miles away on tour, when he goes to bed at night, he can imagine her laying her head down on his and that brings him comfort. how cute is that? and shayley's voice sends shivers down my spine. this is definitely the best song they've ever written :)
