This song is pretty cool. It seems like the character has multiple personalities; the first sees the second building a machine, while the second sees the first so he has to build a trap/machine. Seems like he's trapped in his own mind.
Sounds to me like the end part is hinting at suicide.
I found some rope on the floor I have to build a trap (noose) So I started on my machine (making the noose) I am never to be seen (suicide)
