You know, to me the title of the song it says all.Try it on, it for example when you go to a clothes store and you ask for a price and the person who sales the clothes( saleman/woman?) insist you to try it on the clothes and you really dont want to do it but you do it anyway despite that you know that the clothes are goign to look horrible on you.To me this song is that,the person is trying to giving a chance to this realtionship because the other person insits that they can work it out but one of them( the narrator) already know that this is not going to work....Just my point of view,sorry for my speelling,english is not my mother tongue.
