I don't think this song is about a pop star, or romance.
I believe this song is about a girl who takes her life for granted, wishing for something more thrilling, and in doing so she's become blind to the goodness around her. She's well off (You've got the money) but depressed (And the heartache), probably due to wishing for a more exciting life.
Evidence of her wishing for a better life is pretty clear- She keeps a baseball bat by her head, to ward off any attackers or rapists, even though that's incredibly unlikely (Oh but it's such a joke, a silly dream). She's got "Big plans for your nice house, and some good friends" She's got a lot to live for, but to her it's a bore, because her life could be so much more exciting in her eyes. She could be a pop singer! And she neglects the boy who cares for her, the singer of the song.
Starfucker as a rule tends to have an obsession with death (They have a song titled Death is a Fetish), hence the chorus being about her rotting by the sea. She won't realized what she's missed out on until it's far too late.
