Ima have to agree with Spohhh. I think it's his natural-born evil.

It sounds as if even though he's saying he's born to his mother, his real maker is the devil. "A drop" is made to this real maker.
"Well the crooks are out And the streets are gray You know I wouldn't have it any other way"
He's naturally drawn to evil ways such as thievery, murder, despair, etc..
"I got a tortured mind And my blade is sharp A bad combination in the dark"
