this song is...incredibly embarrassing. at least if i was gaga i'd be embarrassed. compared to her older, hard-hitting dance beats.....this song (and much of this record) sounds like it was made for 11-16 year olds: "mom and dad, why can't i be who i wanna be?".....'comon. also, your hair isn't very free - it's attached to your head. :/

I think that is what makes the album so great, because it shows she is maturing and writing songs she wants to write, instead of the overly-sex-driven music we hear over and over and over. I am 26 and this is the first album in YEARS that I love 100%

The song is meant to be written about how she her parents hated her clothing and she felt free in catholic school (where you wore uniforms) by changing and messing around with her hair.

So the song is meant to be written from the perspective of a teenager.
