The meaning to this song is pretty obvious, and it's already been talked about here. It has to do with the price of fame. Bradley spent his whole life trying to attain fame, and when he got it, he saw that he was just another money-making pony for the music industry to use to line their pockets. There was also talk of a loss of identity and always being in the public spotlight (I just can't hide). "I feel old design" I think had to do with his longing for going back to how it used to be before he got famous. He probably would have lasted a few extra years had he not gotten the fame he wanted so badly. I think the pressure got to him after he signed a major label record deal. He went back to using soon after and died, so there you have it.
