This is my interpretation: After living the fairy tale of love for months, the love of my life dumped me because it became too hard for us to be apart. This was his signature song. He told me to listen to this whenever I got mad at him. And I did, and it would always make me cry. Now that he's left me, the mere thought of this song gets me wistful and teary-eyed...this is my anthem. "I need your love, I'm still lovin' you."
