I'm not quite sure, but I think this song is about someone dying and what is being said at that person's gravesite. Or, it could be that the singer(s) is already dead and is waiting in the afterlife for the person who just died.

For the time being, it reminds me of when you come out of anesthesia after a surgery and your friends and family are all there for you.

It's a beautiful and catchy song, and it could have different meaningful interpretations.

...you're exactly right -- the lyricist and singer commented, "...that this is exactly what “Beautiful World” is about – “just as there are loved ones awaiting your arrival here in the physical world, there are also loved ones waiting for you in the spiritual world we’ll travel to next.” Every time I hear this song, I feel my sister's spirit fill me up like a bowl.
