I think this is more about a person expressing her own thoughts. Unlike me - she is the odd one, the one who lives her own life and she is repeating sentences what others have said to her.
SHe is living intensely according to what she feels and thinks.
Other people are asking questions because they don't know how to swing their arms aroung.

I agree with some of your take on the song; however, time really does exist and too many people waste the time that they have only to look back one day with regret. And I do believe the one who sees herself as different may feel the one who appears happy is only pretneding BECAUSE she can't imagine what it feels like to feel free and alive. She has no knowledge of inner peace so she believes everyone else is only pretending. I find that sad.
