I love this song so much. I waited so long for her whole album to come out and I was so excited when it finally did. The song is pretty self-explanatory to me but that's just me. She is imagining losing her love to another girl. The girl comes over looking for the guy and Christina tell her they don't even talk anymore and painfully lets him go in a way. She imagines the two being happy together after he broke her heart. Then when the girl stops "coming over", she goes out looking for her and finds the guy. This song is so beautiful and easily gets stuck in your head. I love it. :D

ok so i was thinking the same thing about this song's meaning, but there's this line that doesn't make any sense. the line goes "I didn't even say that you died". who died here? someone whom the girl (singer) love?

I don't think anyone died, because after that she says:

"But it wouldn't have been such a lie"

So I'm thinking that maybe he doesn't talk to her anymore, or can't find him, or something along those lines. So if she told the girl that he died, it wouldn't really be that much of a lie because he's kicked her out of his life.

But that's just my interpretation.

^that makes sense too, but the way I saw it was as a reference to the saying "you're dead to me."
