When listening to this song a beautiful image stuck in my head - the image of a man and a woman sitting naked under a tree on a beautiful summer day, in perfect harmony with nature. This image developed into the story of Adam and Eve. You all know their story: it's the story of the people who had everything they needed, but wanted more.

You know the story of the serpent. He put his eyes on Eve as he tempted her. He promised her that she could fly on the wings of summer. Eve goes and perfects her fall as she puts her eyes on Adam. She smiles for him. He trusts her. They don't realise what they have today, because tomorrow's menu reads 'forever'.

They want to fly on the wings of summer, but then God comes and lays his eyes on them. Adam doesn't confess to his crime and blames it on Eve, his concubine. Eve blames the serpent and thought she'd gotten clever when God wheeled them in and pulled the lever.

They've now been cast out of Eden, when they realise that they had already been flying on the wings of summer. Now they have nothing but each other. They also have a hummer, apparently. That is the story of their son, Cain. He murdered his brother Abel for putting his eyes on the divine.

And that's the story: The story of the arguably loving God who clipped of their wings and banished them forever. The story of the great fall of mankind. The story of the beginning of forever.
