When I was younger, I thought it was about a zombie invasion! But I completely agree with gahenderson. Sugarcult is one of those amazing bands that just never get the attention they deserve. They're frustrated with the current state of mainstream music (rest assured, they're not alone!), but feel helpless, unable to "save us"/change it. I may be reading too deep into it, but I think "selling out to the innocent" refers to all of the bands that have broken away from their roots and gone mainstream. In contrast, Sugarcult don't conform. Although they're frustrated, they're not going to change their music for a bigger paycheck at the end of the day.
