Guy You are all wrong no offence, I know for a fact this song is about victims of cancer because of what the lyric says especially in the lines "Waiting for the end to come Wishing I had strength to stand This is not what I had planned" and also in the line "Because we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear Until we dead it, forget it let it all disappear"....and also if you here it on the radio you can hear cancer victims in the background talking about what its like for them...if you think im wrong fine, but i can assure you that this is what the song is about....
I think this part of the music you said is even better because it can be said either by the cancer victim or by a family member or close friend:
I think this part of the music you said is even better because it can be said either by the cancer victim or by a family member or close friend:
Waiting for the end to come
wishing I had strength to stand
This is not what I had planned
It's out of my control
Flying at the speed of light
Thoughts were spinning in my head
So many things were left unsaid
It's hard to let you go
Waiting for the end to come
wishing I had strength to stand
This is not what I had planned
It's out of my control
Flying at the speed of light
Thoughts were spinning in my head
So many things were left unsaid
It's hard to let you go
If it's a family member saying, he is thinking about who he did not enjoyed life with that other person and will have to live the rest of his life without the person, that passed away rapidly, "at speed of light", and he left things unsaid with he/she and it's hard to him to let it go, cause was a very important person for him.
And it was not his fault, was out of his control and he can't do anything
Other point of view i saw was that the speaker was a young that died in a burning and went to a place in limbo or a different heaven that isn't from his religion.
He is unhappy or nonconformist with the situation, cause he died still young and had fought with someone in earth, like parents or partner.
He is confused, regreting either about that person, about being wrong in religion and god with "holding onto something that's invisible there" and scared with the unknown.
"All I wanna do is trade this life for something new
Holding on to what I haven't got"
He is noncomformist that his life is over and he will not see that person anymore, and want to go back to what he haven't got, what he haven't done that he should have done.
Sorry if i had done many mistakes in english, i'm brazilian :D
