I was thinking about the meaning of "shake it like a photo" line. I'm not English native speaker, but I searched the net and find out that years ago people shook the photos they've just taken to make 'em clear. Today it is also connected with a song from the band called Outcast or Outkast, not sure, and it may mean "celebrating", "freakin' out" or, you know, it may also mean "trying to hook up someone", "dancing something like dancehall" or even "playing with yourself". These are the meanings I found on the net.
But I think they don't make sense here. So that's mine interpretation.
People shook the photos originally to make them develop faster, to make them clear. And the guy from the song says "oh no, who let them in the door? it's like a freak show". Maybe he means "man, I hate the thoughts/feelings that have come to me, they're so odd, how could I let them come?!". Then he says "shake it like a photo", means "make it clearer" or "shake it off", "let this go". I think it'd finally make sense.
