Jesus was believed to have died in the year 33 AD and most scholars assume this means that he mathematically must have been 33 years old at the time of his death; however, what they don't take into account was that chronologically there was no "year 0" - it jumps from year 1 BC - to year 1 AD (Anno Domini - "the year of our lord") so this must mean that Jesus was in fact 32 years old when he died...

30 + 2 = 32
... otherwise, by traditional calculations he would have had to already been 1 year old at the time of his birth - which obviously doesn't make sense - so this song is about that missing year of Jesus' life that history has forgotten. When he came out his momma he was zero.
