He needs not a paper... Or proof... Because he is enough proof that he would never leave her... He knows the real her too... "Don't act like someone you're not..." clearly stated that she's being fake, something because she wants to makebelieve...
And the next paragraph solidified my conclusion... She's getting desperate she wants to go... She can't bear it...
