As a Christian woman in her 20s, I am well aware that there are more women than men in the church, and I'm pretty sure that the 'boys knew this when they were writing the song as well. As we lose hope that we'll ever find the good Christian husband we'd dreamed of, it becomes awfully tempting to start looking elsewhere for companionship, and with a little bit of convincing, to try to fulfill those long withheld sexual desires. The Newsboys do an excellent job here of uncovering the lies that a single Christian can so easily find themselves led to and showing them for what they really are. The voiceovers of the men in this piece always send shivers down my spine.
(I wish they still made music like this. It's controversial, but it cuts straight to the heart of the matter and makes you actually think about what's going on.)
