Catchy song, great for doing nothing in the sun. My interpretation of this fairly self explanatory song: "Hanging around with you it's like the sunshine's always out" Comparing the good feelings of summer weather with his relationship with a girl

"So I move in with you - I move straight back out" He moves in but things don't go so well

"I've got someone, a little something for you Like pouring rain on snow or a stone inside your shoe Hey! hey!" Unlike how she made him feel, through someone or something he has done he has made her upset or irritated her somehow.

"No I'm not laughing at you, just 'cos I'm not living with you" Break down in communication, he needs to explain why he is laughing cos she feels its at her. Maybe she is self conscious or insecure in their relationship.

"No I never really believed, I really really see now I see" Maybe the feelings he felt at the beginning of the song were not thought through, now he is having second thoughts.

"Hanging around with you I'm like a thorn deep in your side I learned how to fight the thunderclap with tight-shut eyes I've got someone, she's a little something for you Like rainfall all through June or a stone inside your shoe Hey! hey!"

The someone else that he has met is causing tension in their relationship.

The song is therefore about the breakdown of a fleeting relationship with a girl. Things are great, perfect perhaps. But then he meets someone else, and the relationship falls apart. Oh well, better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all!
