Fireworks is a metaphor for aiming high and blowing up.

Verse 1- He explained how befriending lil wayne changed his life by transforming him into this big rap star from a small tv show. His dream finally came true but obviously fame came with a huge price tag. When reality sets in, he might have felt like it was too much for him to handle.

Verse 2- This verse is about his love life and how fame have control over it. Now his personal life became his profession. He's confused as to what went on between the girl he dated and posibily fell in love with in this verse. But whatever it was, he learned from it and accepted the fact that his is part of life in stardom.

Verse 3- Very obvious verse. Ever since fame, he doesn't see his family especially his mother as much as he should. Dispite of all the houses and decor he purchased for his mother he still fell a certain degree of guilt for not 'being there'. Maybe his parents got a divorse over something he did? Not too sure about the last part but definitly has something to do with how money changed everything and now that he has money he will never know if what he interprets as 'true love' is really true.
